Matt Urban, a new Metro member this year has been working with former Metro Player of the Year, Dan Sutton, and it has paid dividends as birdies on 10, 11 & 13 carried him to a 1-shot victory over Rick Williamson after shooting nines of 36/34-70 on the tough Red Hawk course. Williamson's round included 3 birdies and 13 pars in route to his 36/35-71. Kevin Kornowa was third with 37/35-72. In the handicap division, straight hitting Metro veteran Dave Mikolajczak had 2 birdies and 13 pars for a 73 and net 66 to beat Williamson by a shot and Fred Mann by 3 shots.
