Raitz & Reams win Metro finale, Gerken captures Barry Latta Player of Year and Conrad wins Net Player of Year honors, Hope all enjoyed another year of fun competitive golf!

John Raitz and Tony Reams led the field in the scratch division Stableford event with 40 pts and Raitz led the handicap division with 44 points at the Metro final event held at Valleywood this past Sunday. After a fine meal, Brian Gerken was awarded the Metro player of the year honor after a very consistent, if not spectacular season, with 3 wins and 4 third place finishes and 1 fourth place. On the handicap side, Scott Conrad won player of year in a season that included 2 wins and 2 seconds and 1 third.
All results are now posted. Winnings from Valleywood and all other uncollected winnings from all other events will be mailed in the next week or so.
Many thanks to Tom McMahon for his many years serving as a Metro Officer-Handicap Chairman as he decided to step down,but he still plans on playing next year and will assist with the transition. The Metro is happy to welcome Dave Harloff, longtime Metro member, as the new Handicap Chairman.
Remember the Metro site goes on hiatus from October to March, except for the forum. I will post the tentative 2012 schedule on there by the end of November. Thanks all for another fun season. Jim
