Reams, Raitz fire 1-under 71's to win scratch division and Smothers dominates net division with net 63 @ Fostoria CC this past Sat Aug 28th

John Raitz was a bit nervous being paired with 3 of the Metro's best, yet he had 4-birdies, eagled the 8th hole, shot 2-under on the front nine, and held together on the back nine to tie for low gross honors with Tony Reams. Reams was a bit more steady with 3 birdies and 13 pars to go with 2 bogies. Raitz, Reams and Brian Gerken were all 2-under heading to 18 (not in same group) and Raitz and Reams bogied the long par three, while Gerken made an unfortunate double to tie for 3rd with Terry Tyson @ even par 72.
Michael Smothers stayed away from big numbers and won the net division by 3-shots with a 63. Steve Parks with 3 birdies and James Asbury with 10 pars tied for 2nd with Raitz with 66's.
