GHMA TOURNAMENT INFORMATION AND PROCEEDURES

To participate in the Activities of the ASSOCIATION, one must be 'a Member in good standing or the invited in-house guest of a Member in good standing.

1. Dues are payable every year by the First of January, and if not paid you are not allowed to take part in any of the Men's Associations functions.

2. Every Tuesday and Thursday a sign up sheet is posted on our bulletin board in the men's locker room for signatures of those wanting to play. These sign up sheets are removed from the locker room and placed on the table where you come in to pay, your fee to play on Tuesday and Thursday, then replaced in the locker room.

3. The GHMGA plays each Tuesday and Thursday. In addition, several special events' are scheduled each year. Tuesday's teams are formed by random (computer) draw. Thursday's teams may be formed by participants.

PLEASE pay the playing fee 30 minutes before your TEE time. Tuesday's teams are drawn by Friday noontime. After 1:00PM the schedule sheet is posted and alternates added, provided there are openings.

4. ONCE TEAMS ARE POSTED PLAYERS ARE OBLIGATED FOR THE PLAYING FEE … NO EXCUSES!!! NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

Any player's name drawn to complete a (4-some) or a (2-some) will share that team's prize money. No player may receive two prizes. Drawn player receives the higher prize money.

5. TOURNAMENT SIGN UP SHEET REQUIRMENTS

a. All players must sign up on the sign up sheets and not expect to just come to the club on the day of play and play. You must commit to the tournament before day of play unless there are extenuating circumstances.

b. All those members who have been signed up and placed on the tournament rosters will be expected to pay the entry fee and if a no show, will be fined that entry amount and unable to play until paid.

c. It is your responsibility to notify the tournament chairman in advance if you find you cannot play … do not do so at the last minute!

GUEST AND SPECIAL TOURNAMENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR

Guests playing in any ASSOCIATION EVENT using G.H.M.G.A. Monies must pay 1 1/2 times the entry fee (i.e. for an $8:00 entry fee a guest pays $12.00).

We hold special tournaments throughout the year. Prior to these tournaments we have a meeting with coffee and donuts. Most special tournaments also include a luncheon. It is necessary for you to show up to the course early so that you can get your coffee and doughnuts and be seated in time for the meeting to start as it is important that we finish on time to our starting times on schedule.

These tournaments are events where the members organize their own teams and sign up on the sign up sheets as a team. There are also places where singles may sign up. There may be enough singles to form additional teams, or others who may use a single member to augment their team

When your team is formed and signed up on the sheet, one member of the team should collect the full entrance fee and pay it to the association since these fees, are payable in advance. It is not feasible that you hold off and come to the meeting and then use this time to make your payment. However, we do recognize that sometimes problems arise.
