RIGNEY WINS 2ND ANNUAL ADMIRAL'S CUP 

Congratulations to Chris Rigney for winning the 2nd Annual Admiral's Cup Tournament. Points were awarded based on how you placed for each day's event (i.e. 1pt, 1st Place, 2pts 2nd Place, etc.). Chris finished 2nd in the Scramble Event, 1st in Individual Play and 4th in the 2-Person Best Ball for a total of 7 pts. Runner-up was Jake Proesch with 8 pts. Jake finished 2nd in the Scramble, 2nd in Individual Play and 4th in the 2-Person Best Ball. A total of 29 Golfers participated in the event with participants coming from as far away as Boston, MA and Tidewater Virginia area. Low Gross went to Mike Hall with a score of 160 in the Individual and 2-Person Best Ball Events. Runner-up was Ervin Ramos with a score of 161 and Tony Kreimer finished 3rd with a score of 163.

 

The weather cooperated all weekend with just a light sprinkle on Friday. The weather was pleasant which made for an enjoyable weekend. After the round on Sunday, everyone went to Stoney's Sports Cafe at Stoneybrook Golf Course for a buffet luncheon and awarding of prizes. Hopefully next year's event will be bigger and better.

 

I'd like to thank Connie Sova, Melissa Hall, Alan Walsh, Chris Rigney, Chris Klockson and Andy Baines for their help with the various tasks throughout the weekend.
