About the D7 Golf Association

The D7 Golf Association was actually orginiated in 1995 as a monthly Seventh District MWR Event prior to the standup of ISC Miami.  The idea was to create friendly competition between the different offices in the District Building and to help meet other people in the building.  There have been several Presidents and other Officers over the years.  In 2005, I took over the Association before it folded.  We have had many successful outings since then, and instead of being just a District Staff event, it has now become a Greater Miami Area MWR Event, supported by Air Station Miami MWR, but completely self-sufficient as far as finances.  We are a non-profit organization, and all monies collected at each event go back into the Golf Association for golf fees, monthly event prizes and occasional luncheons.

We try to provide an outlet each month for the various commands to get together in a friendly competition of sorts.  Golf is a good way to do this and we hope to continue to grow as an Association over the next few years.
